HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERERS STONE REVIEW ... SO SPOILERS

So whatever you call it sorcerer's stone or philosophers stone lets just do this review

HARRY POTTER:

So Harry Potter and the sorcerer's stone is the first Harry Potter film which is basically about orphan Harry Potter finds out he is a wizard and goes to a wizarding school, Hogwarts where he makes friends with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. In his venture through his first year at school, Harry plays Quidditch and learns magic.he and his friends learn about the Philosopher's Stone where they believe that one of the teachers Snape is attempting to steal the stone for bringing back Voldemort (Harry's parent's murderers).Harry, Ron, and Hermione go through a series of task to try to get to the stone when it is revealed that one of their teachers, Professor Quirrell where Voldemort is living on the back of Quirrell's head and Snape is trying to protect Harry. After being taunted for his parents to be brought back to the dead Quirrel touches Harry and turns into dust and Voldemort as a ghost passes through Harry knocking him out.
Harry wakes up in the hospital at Hogwarts and then Dumbledor tells him that Harry's mother gave harry a spell which gave Harry protection from Voldemort. The film ends with everyone going home for the summer and Harry realizes Hogwarts is the place he is at home.

There were so many great magical scenes in the film from Harry meeting Hagrid for the first time to playing quidditch and finding getting the Invisible cloak and also Harry, Ron, and Hermione meeting for the first time on the Hogwarts express. But my favorite scene in the film was the scene where out main three heroes had to face the challenges, especially the giant chess match. That scene for me defines Harry Potter.

There were so many great characters in this film, but my favorite was the boy himself, Harry Potter played by Daniel Radcliffe.Everyone else in the film was great as well such as Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint), Hermione Granger(Emma Watson), Hagrid (Robbie Coltrane), Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton), Neville Longbottom (Matthew Lewis), Snape (Alan Rickman), Professor Quirrell (Ian Hart) and Albus Dumbledore played by Richard Harris.

In conclusion, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone is a great film and is what I loved about the franchise.Although this film does not hold up too well today, in terms of some of the acting, but it is still a solid film which I will give a 7.5 out of 10.If you have seen the Sorcerer's Stone let me know what your favorite character or scene is in the film by leaving a comment below. As always thanks for reading, take care.
