STAR WARS REBELS SEASON 3 EPISODE 8 IRON SQUADRON REVIEW

So Star Wars Rebels tonight was a great episode which introduced us to some new colorful characters, so let's recap.

The premise of the episode is that the crew of ghost are going to a planet to rescue some civilians before the empire takes control. On the way, the rebels find a  ship which contains a crew of Imperial activist. After some persuasion, the member on the Iron Squadron board with the Rebels except the captain who gets stranded when the empire shows up.After some dogfight, the Iron Squadron and the rebels manage to rescue the captain of the Iron Squadron who is the nephew of the Rebellion leader.

My favorite scene in this episode was the dogfight at the end.The animation looked so amazing, the contrast with the colors used and the flow of the blaster turrets looked epic.I did especially like the scene where the Ghost meets the Iron Squadron, the Iron Squadron are a cool group of characters that add more diversity to the cast of the show. The team did feel a little too stereotypical like here's the reckless captain, here's the moody chick, here's the dumb guy and that's the droid.

My favorite character in the episode was Martin Mattin.I liked how he thought he had no family but when he finds out that his uncle is still alive he has a change of heart. The character did remind me off a darker Poe Dameron, he is a great daring tie pilot which does anything he can to achieve what he wants.

Overall, the Iron Squadron is a great episode which I will give an 8 out of 10.Feel free to leave your thoughts on the episode down below. As always thanks for reading, take care.
