SPIDERMAN 2 REVIEW ... SO SPOILERS
After taking the identity of the New York City crime fighter, and portrayed "criminal", Peter Parker is struggling with his lifestyle as Peter and Spiderman, with his powers malfunctioning, and Peter not being able to make it with the girl of his dreams, Mary Jane. When a new threat comes along, Peter's mentor now villain, Doctor Octopus, threatens the Earth, Peter must take down the villain using his powers, which may or may not work.
So again what I liked about the Spiderman 2 is that it captured what was great about the first film, such as the tone and character development, and used it in the sequel with a twist and new concepts in the film which brings film to a personal level with Peter which increases the stakes of the film. The other starry arc in the film with Harry Osborne thinking that Spiderman killed his father, he goes on a revenge quest which was interesting to see develop on screen knowing the identities of the characters.
My favorite scene in the film was, well again it is hard to choose, I liked the J.J. Jamerson scenes, I enjoyed Harry finding out Peter's identity, Peter being Peter, and he Doctor Octopus fighting Spiderman on the train scene which was awesome.
The cast in the film was great again, Tony Maguire (Peter Parker/Spiderman) was amazing, Kirsten Dunst (Mary Jane Watson) was okay in the film, I personally enjoyed her in the film, and liked everyone else, James France (Harry Osborne), Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus), Aunt May (Rosemary Harris), a Stan Lee Cameo, and J.K. Simmons (J.J.Jamerson).
Overall, Spiderman 2'is such a great film which captures the tone a superhero film needs to have, the cast was great, along with the action scenes which were on a large scale. I will give Spiderman 2 a 9 out of 10. Comment below your thoughts on Spiderman 2. As always thanks for reading, take care.
